Rights and Privacy Statement
By submitting materials to the Sarah Lawrence College Student Life Preservation Project, you are agreeing to grant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to Sarah Lawrence College Archives to preserve, reproduce, and distribute your work as part of the Sarah Lawrence Student Life Preservation Project. This permission includes the right to modify your material to conform to the goals of the project, to reformat it as necessary to preserve its usefulness, and to make it available for educational, research, and promotional purposes outside of the project, in perpetuity and in all media formats. This license does not authorize the exploitation of your contribution for profit or commercial use.
Contributors will have the option for their material to be published on the Sarah Lawrence College Student Life Preservation Project website. If contributors do not wish their material to appear on the website, they may contact the archives directly to arrange a donation.
Note that this site collects email addresses in order to validate submissions. These addresses are not shared. In sharing your story, i.e. making a contribution to the archive, be aware that we publish the fields "creator/author" and "contributor.” If other than yourself, you should always cite the "creator/author," which is the individual and/or institution that originally created the item or story being contributed.
Consent Agreement
"I hereby give, grant, and transfer the material described above to the College Archives at Sarah Lawrence College, and relinquish whatever physical and literary rights I may possess to the contents. I agree to grant the College Archives rights to make preservation and access copies of the content and to make this content available online. On its part, the College Archives will care for the above material in a manner that in its sole judgment will provide for the preservation of the items gifted. It is the intent of College Archives to make the items gifted herein readily available for research; however, all access to the gifted material shall be at the sole discretion of College Archives. The Sarah Lawrence College Archives reserves the right to dispose of duplicate or unneeded items.”
